Our Little Home In The Midlands!!

I guess you already read about my excitement  moving to SC. After living in the State of NY, Upstate NY to be exact, where the snow is deeper each day and night. Except this year,,I swear CZ we left!!  Anyway the cold is brutal. -20 to -30 below 0 is not a big deal. But my illnesses said it was. Making a vow, we always talked when hubby retired we would be like the "Snow Birds" Go to Florida,, But we traveled to SC once before to attend a kidney center, for an issue I have. I fell in love with it then, Knew I would live here someday!!

Here in the Midlands, so it's called. I am as at home as I was were I grew up. The people are wonderful. Personalities from all ethnics of life share this state,town, So far I have not found a person who has been unfriendly. Of coarse? I am good at talking to everybody..

So? Let's talk about the wonderful element of this land.. No stones. I can plant flowers,bushes,even trees, and dig the hole myself... And I was lucky enough to move in the sand, not the red clay,, Not good on a white French Bulldogs feet,,,. The trees,,,Are beautiful, So many flowering bushes, also, too have added them to our home, Trees, Flowering trees,Real flowers that never died this winter,, They bloomed all winter,,, What a trip to see this...

All towns lead back to Columbia,, We learned that if your on the wrong side of the interstate? You cannot get home,, One day we traveled all afternoon almost and finally figured out we needed to be on the other side,, Confusing? Yes, but we had a lot to laugh about!!

I have been to 2 zoos/ One in Greenville, North - SC, and then I went to the Columbia Zoo,,, I also went to the zoo, Halloween night to see the lights,, How wonderful that was.I was in awe, to think there were parades at Christmas time,, Sitting on the curb,, watching the parade in Capri's,,,, OMG?? Never in a million years would I ever though I'd do that. Festals? All the time,, Fresh vegetables,, At the biggest Farmers Market in SC, we live right near....

So, I am one happy camper,, Return for more update on me,, acting like a child in SC!!!
